Thankful Thoughts about YOU – each of you.

thankful thoughtsGuess what I’m sharing in this week’s thankful thoughts.  You won’t believe it!

I’m thankful for YOU.

That’s right.  YOU.

I’m so thankful for my amazing community of readers, fans, commenters, followers, and friends.   You ladies rock.

Last week, I asked you to share with me what you were thankful for.  Remember?  I dared you to have a thankful thought of your own.

And you did.

You tweeted back to me!

It was so sweet to get a stream of thankful thoughts tweets last Sunday.  It was such a blessing.

I ask for your advice on Facebook, and you ladies are amazingly helpful.

I loved the discussion on how to manage bedtime / dinner / soccer practice scheduling.  It’s something we all struggle with, and I love having a community that can help me figure out what’s right for my family.

You leave amazing comments for me.

I read each one like it’s a treasure and a gift.

(Except the ones from spammers.)

Each time you take the time to comment, it feels really really good.

When I write funny stuff and make you laugh, your comments are the only way I have to know that I was actually funny.  So this week, when I I wrote about the Mom’s (made up) Dictionary, I was thrilled with your additions!

Shannon from BorderHorder suggested the “MOM Finger” – I think we all know what that looks like.

Emily from ClutteredGenius confessed to a few MOMolouges.  (Many of you shared this confession – go have some secret chocolate and celebrate that you aren’t alone.)

Miss Robin suggested MOMzilla.  She said it needed no definition.  I think she’s right.  Sorry to say I’m guilty.

I am so thankful for you!

I remember my first week on twitter.  The week I tweeted, I had zero followers.  Not even the creepy ones.  (It helps if you make your profile public).   It was lonely.

I remember the first week of my blog.  There were no comments.  It was lonely.

I remember when I only had THREE followers on Facebook (and one of them was my husband).  It was lonely.

I don’t feel lonely anymore.

Today’s Thankful Thoughts are all about you.

Even if you never comment, I still see you.  I can tell when you read my rambling because it shows up in statistics.    I may not know your name, but I know I have readers all over the world.

(United States, Canada, New Zealand (hi Tracey), Australia, United Kingdom, Russia, Germany, Philippines, India….)

I know it’s not just my local friends reading here in the United States.  I see you reading in 45 of the 50 states.

I see all of you who read me via RSS (my preferred method).  Not individually, but at least in numbers.

And I’m thankful for each and every one of you.

I’m honored that you take time to read my blog.  I take it seriously.  I know your time is precious and I try hard not to waste even a single minute of your day.

The little words at the top of my blog – “Finding Joy in Everyday Motherhood” aren’t just there to fill up space.  I live them.  I believe in them.  Before I push “post” I make sure that what I’ve written will help you find joy in your own motherhood journey.  It matters to me!

And I wanted you to know that each time you comment, read, share, tweet, like, click, or whatever… it matters.  Each and every time you do that, it encourages me and gives ME a little joy.

Thank you.

I have a passion for encouraging weary worn out mothers to find joy in everyday motherhood and peace in unlikely places. I have two elementary school boys, one nerdy husband, and two cats. I have a strange fascination for bad puns, the color pink, socks, and books. I worry about running out of toilet paper, wine, and chocolate.. I serve an amazing God. I live an ordinary life filled with wonder.
