Thankful Thoughts (even when things are icky)

Today isn’t going like I thought, but that doesn’t mean I can’t share some thankful thoughts with you.  Today has turned out to be kind of icky (ok, REALLY icky).  Even in these circumstances, there are things I’m thankful for.

I’m just going to share what I’m thankful for this morning – I think you’ll know why my day is disrupted.

10 Things I Can Be Thankful For

thankful thoughts when life is icky(even when things aren’t going as planned)

1.  Toilet paper.  To be more specific, really soft toilet paper.

2. My Washer and Dryer.  They work. The washer has a much-needed sanitize feature that I’m oh-so-thankful for today.

3.  Laundry Soap.  I make my own. It’s cheap.  I have plenty.  Every time I use a scoop, I feel good about how frugal and green I’m being. It makes me feel connected to a lot of other mommas who make their own soap and blog about it.

4. Stockpiling.  I don’t have a huge freaky stockpile, but I have enough.  We’re not in danger of running out of toilet paper.

5.  We have more than one bathroom.  (this needs no further explanation, does it?)

6.  I was finally caught up on the laundry.  It was brief, but it did happen.

7.  Amazon Videos.  Sometimes, unlimited access to Gilligan’s Island is just what my family needs.

8. Aleve and Pepto.  Because we needed the strong stuff.

9. Family time.  It isn’t exactly the kind of time I’d pick, but we’re all in this together.

10.  My headphones.  Because sometimes, Gilligan’s Island isn’t what *I* need.

We’re fine. Or at least we will be.  I’m racking up funny stories faster than you can imagine.   I’m at 20 blog post ideas and counting.

Have a great Sunday!

ps – don’t forget… even if you entered my giveaway yesterday, you can tweet about it again today and get an extra entry.

What are YOU thankful for today?

I have a passion for encouraging weary worn out mothers to find joy in everyday motherhood and peace in unlikely places. I have two elementary school boys, one nerdy husband, and two cats. I have a strange fascination for bad puns, the color pink, socks, and books. I worry about running out of toilet paper, wine, and chocolate.. I serve an amazing God. I live an ordinary life filled with wonder.
