Thankful Thoughts – I love my school

As the school year comes to a close, it seems appropriate to share some thankful thoughts on just how much I love my school and appreciate the teachers.

This has nothing to do with the fact that they’ve cared for my kids during the day for the past ten months (giving more time to be kid free and do whatever it is I do all day).  It has everything to do with the fact that my kids go to an amazing school.  I’m blessed.  My kids are blessed.  And I’m thankful.

There’s a long list of reasons why, but on my heart today are the PEOPLE that make up the school.

Thankful Thoughts (even when things are icky)

Today isn’t going like I thought, but that doesn’t mean I can’t share some thankful thoughts with you.  Today has turned out to be kind of icky (ok, REALLY icky).  Even in these circumstances, there are things I’m thankful for.

I’m just going to share what I’m thankful for this morning – I think you’ll know why my day is disrupted.

10 Things I Can Be Thankful For

1.  Toilet paper.  To be more specific, really soft toilet paper.

2. My Washer and Dryer.  They work. The washer has a much-needed sanitize feature that I’m oh-so-thankful for today.

Thankful Thoughts – Cats

thankful thoughts about my catIt was only a matter of time until I wrote down some thankful thoughts about my cats.

Honestly, this would be a post about how amazing my dog is, except that I’m allergic to dogs.  I had dogs growing up and I miss them dearly.  Sigh.

When I first learned that I was allergic to dogs, I was hesitant to try a cat as a “dog surrogate.”  Cats and dogs are mortal enemies, and I just couldn’t see it working out.

But, I was a single woman who worked way too many hours a week.  I had no social life.  I needed a reason to go home at night.

So I adopted Bob.
