Menu Monday – The Final Edition

menu mondayYou read that right – this is the final edition of Menu Monday I’m planning on posting on this blog.

For those of you who are worried that you don’t know what I’m planning for dinner tonight (it’s hamburgers again, by popular request) don’t panic.

For those of you are aren’t big fans of Menu Monday (you know who you are) I’ve got great news for you too!

I’m moving the Menu Monday to my newsletter.

Even if you aren’t a fan of Menu Mondays, there’s still plenty of reasons why to you would want to read the newsletter.  Here’s a few:

  1. This week, I shared a quick recipe for my husband’s favorite summer salad.
  2. There’s an update on my August goals.  I have two things left to accomplish by Friday!
  3. I’m sharing a funny piece titled “If my life was a magazine cover.”
  4. Future editions will include extra ways my kids make me laugh, rants about car line violations, bad egg jokes, and more.
  5. Newsletter subscribers will be the first to hear about an upcoming ebook or cool free stuff.
  6. I have a long list of egg related content that needs a home.

So why am I doing this?

When I started ThisHappyMom a few months ago, I just knew I wanted to blog.  I wasn’t totally clear on what I’d be writing each day.  So I took my best stab at it and jumped in with both feet.

Somebody told me I needed to post twice a day for the first two months.  So I did.

As time passed, I cut back to one post a day for days other than Menu Monday and Recipe day (Thursday-ish).  I still continued to do double posts on those days because I have so much I want to write and share beyond a basic menu or recipe.  (And in honesty, I’m looking at statistics that tell me what posts get the most interest.  Menus aren’t at the top of the list.)

I wrestled with how to balance all that “stuff.”

It was my number one question going into Content Brew.

I decided to move the “how to” content to a weekly newsletter.

Just trust me, it’ll be awesome.

    • Yay! Be patient with me. Mail chip (or is that chimp mail… very confused) is new to me. I’m bound to mess something up just because I don’t know what a button does.
