My Kids Make Me Laugh: Sword Fight

kids sword craft My kids crack me up. Last week, they discovered a stash of cardboard tubes left from wrapping paper, paper towels, and toilet paper rolls.

They asked my help, and soon we were building swords. We went through almost an entire roll of bright yellow duct tape re-enforcing the sword construction. Then they wanted me to go come outside with them and take movies of their antics.

Their dialog cracked me up! Watty was trying to talk with his “Asian” accent. GoGo was using his “evil” voice.  Check out what they were saying!

W: (Bowing) So, you are here to defeat me.

G: Yes (bwahahaha) I have come to KILL you!

W: You shall not pass (sticks sword in ground).

G:  Oh yes I shall!

Then they bashed swords until they broke.  I repaired the swords with a bit more duct tape and some paper towel reinforcements.  Then there was more dialog.

I was laughing so hard I couldn’t hold the camera still.

What about you?  How have your kids made you laugh this week?

I have a passion for encouraging weary worn out mothers to find joy in everyday motherhood and peace in unlikely places. I have two elementary school boys, one nerdy husband, and two cats. I have a strange fascination for bad puns, the color pink, socks, and books. I worry about running out of toilet paper, wine, and chocolate.. I serve an amazing God. I live an ordinary life filled with wonder.
