Free stuff from Shutterfly for me and and you (giveaway)

free stuff from shutterfly from thishappymom.comI recently received some free stuff from Shutterfly, and since I can’t use it all, I’m giving some away.

That’s right, a giveaway.

Free photo album (read the fine print).

Here’s my book. I made it to give to my mom. She’s been traveling all summer and has missed out on all of our summer fun. This way, she can see what she’s missed and know that we love her.

I got it for free-ish because of my klout score. Klout is how your ability to influence other people online is measured. They look at your activities on sites such as facebook and twitter, and then come up with a magic number that represents your influence. If your number is high enough, you start getting klout perks.   Everyone who has a facebook or twitter account has a Klout score, whether they know it or not.  Even my mom.  Even you.

Because of my score, Shutterfly gave me a free-ish book, and FOUR more to give to friends.

You’re my friends.

Fine print stuff:

Klout has the standard privacy and fair use policies of any well behaved company.  They won’t share your individual data, but who knows what they do with the combined data of thousands.  Klout doesn’t know (or probably care) what I do with shutterfly perk.  How I use the freebie from Shutterfly isn’t supposed to influence my Klout score.

Shutterfly will require that you create an account with them.   You will upload photos to their site. They say in their fine print:

Good for one free 20-page 8×8 hardcover photo book per household. A shipping and handling charge of $7.99 applies. Offer expires Sep 15, 2012. Offer not valid for licensed premium photo books, leather hard cover, padded photo cover, cloth hard cover or soft photo cover photo books. Any additional pages will incur a per-page fee. Storytelling™ styles and elements will incur additional fees. Other terms and conditions apply.

(I used a premium book layout, it was worth the extra $5 to me).
